LINDA DEE SMITH PRITCHETT ENTERED INTO THIS LIFE AUGUST 7, 1946 IN PROVO, UTAH. SHE PASSED AWAY ON APRIL 28,2021. AT THE TIME OF HER PASSING, SHE WAS THE BELOVED WIFE OF STERLING PRITCHETT OF OREM, UTAH. SHE GRADUATED FROM OREM HIGH SCHOOL IN 1964, AND FROM PROVO TECHNICAL COLLEGE WITH A DEGREE IN OFFICE ADMINISTRATION. SHE WENT ON TO WORK FOR OREM CITY GOVERNMENT, RETIRING IN 1997. SHE AND STERLING WERE SEALED TOGETHER DECEMBER 16, 1997 IN THE SALT LAKE LDS TEMPLE AND SPENT A VERY JOYOUS TIME TOGETHER. THOUGHOUT HER LIFE, LINDA BROUGHT JOY AND LOVE TO THOSE AROUND HER. SHE FOUND THE GREATEST JOY IN HER FAMILY AND WITH HER HUSBAND OF 24 YEARS. HER LOVE OF HER PETS AND HEAVENLY FATHER'S MANY CREATIONS WAS A CHERISHED PART OF HER LIFE. THROUGHOUT LIFE SHE ALSO DEVELOPED A LOVE FOR CAMPING, HUNTING, FISHING, AND IN HER LATER YEARS, KARAOKE. LINDA IS SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND, STERLING PRITCHETT, HER SISTERS-IN-LAW, PAM WILY (BOB) AND PAULA HINCKLEY (GREG), ONE SON, CHAD PRITCHETT (JILL), DAUGHTERS, HEATHER DAWSON (FRED), LAURIE COLEMAN (DUSTIN), LACIE KOFORD (KELLY). SHE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY HER 16 GRANDCHILDREN, WHO SHE LOVED AND CHERISHED. LINDA WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER PARENTS, BESSIE DATTGE SMITH AND WILLIAM MERRILL SMITH, HER SON, RONALD "RON" LEE WILLAMS, A SISTER, PEGGY ANNETTE JOHNSON, AND A SISTER AND TWIN BROTHERS IN INFANCY. SHE IS HAVING A GREAT REUNION WITH THOSE SHE LOVED SO GREATLY IN THIS LIFE. SERVICES WILL BE HELD THURSDAY, MAY 6, AT THE ASPEN 5TH WARD CHAPEL, 828 WEST 1600 NORTH, OREM, UTAH AT 11:00AM WITH A SHORT VIEWING FROM 9:30AM-10:30AM AT THE CHURCH. Joseph Delbert Alhstrom Obituary

Joseph Delbert Ahlstrom

Joseph Delbert Ahlstrom was born on July 21, 1932 in Hatton Utah to Leonard and Olive Ahlstrom. He passed away at home on April 5, 2020 with his wife by his side. He attended Cyprus High school and graduated in 1950.

After school, the draft was going on but he wanted to pick the branch of service he wanted to be in so he enlisted in the Air Force and served there for 4 years. He was able to see many parts of the world during his service. He met his sweetheart, Marie Williams, through his friend David Rose. They were married March 18, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple and just celebrated 63 years of marriage. They had 10 children born to them. The first eight were girls and their only son was born on his birthday as a birthday gift to him. One last girl was added to complete this family.

Dad was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings in the church which include being a cub master and scout master. He was able to do many things with his son Joe as he served in the scouting program. There were many treasured memories between father and son at this time. He spent 10 years serving in the Salt Lake temple as an ordinance worker and loved every minute of it. He served as a counselor in the bishopric and loved working with Bishop Richardson. He also served a mission for the church in the Nigeria/Lagos mission in 2001-2002 with his wife.

Dad worked as a custodian for Granite School District for most of his 30 years. The last few were working in the plumbing department for the district. Because dad worked in the school system, he has had many people that remember him and still to this day people will ask one of his children how Joe is doing. He got along with everyone and was loved by all. Dad also worked 12 years at a part time job to help with the expenses of a large family.

Dad didn’t really have hobbies because he always seemed to be working at either of his jobs or in fixing up the house or working on his car and was always trying to make a nice place for his family. He relaxed by going camping at the family’s ranch in Idaho and loved to pass that time with fishing or just kicking back. The family had a blue canvas tent that served us all very well through the years with many nights sleeping under blankets or on cots at the family ranch. Dad liked to have lots of change in his pockets and each night he would empty out his pockets and put the change in a big jug. This money became his vacation account.

Dad loved his family and it showed mostly in his actions more than in words. He especially loved his wife Marie and has always watched out for her as she has watched out for him. Marie has been his caregiver for the last few months of his life and has done it with much love and compassion.

Joseph is survived by his wife Marie, his 10 children Judy (Robert) Hunt, Janet Dalton, Jill (Dave – deceased) Curbello, Jean Moss, Joleen (David) Hutchison, Jennifer (Dave) Tiedt, JaNeal (Joel) Irvine, Jodie (Michael) James, Joseph (Shannon) Ahlstrom and Jana (Neil) Scott. They have 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Leo and sister Betty.

A private graveside service will be held on April 10, 2020 at Memorial Redwood Mortuary.

Thanks to Heritage Home Health & Hospice for their compassion and care, especially Kadi, at the end of his life. We love you dad!! Jesus is calling – come home.

Patricia Duncan Patterson, daughter of William Kenneth and Gwendolyn Whatcott Duncan, granddaughter of Clarence Anthony and Thressa Whitaker Whatcott and Great Grand Daughter of Joseph Cane and Minnie Maud Bingham Whitaker.

Patricia Duncan Patterson, age 70, of Springville, passed away on February 13, 2020 surrounded by her family. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Nelson Family Mortuary, 4780 N. University Avenue, Provo. Randy R. Beckstrand Obituary

Just to update everyone on the Joseph and Minnie FaceBook page about the passing of Randy R Beckstrand. He is the son of Afton Whitaker Beckstrand and Ray L Beckstrand. Afton is the Daughter of Harold and Elda Whitaker.

Randy R. Beckstrand, 62, of South Jordan, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2019 surrounded by his family. Randy fought hard and valiantly through numerous health issues before returning to live with his Father in Heaven.

Randy was born to Ray L. Beckstrand and Afton (Whitaker) Beckstrand on September l8, 1956 in Provo, Utah. His family moved to San Diego, California when Randy was about to enter Kindergarten where he grew to love the ocean and San Diego, which has always held a special place in his heart. He lived in San Diego until his family moved back to Provo in time for him to begin high school. ln 1973, while a senior at Provo High School, Randy began working at Baskin-Robbins where he met his sweetheart, Denise Gardner. Randy and Denise began to date and were later married on February 5, 1976 in the Salt Lake City Temple.

A few years into their marriage, Randy and Denise purchased two Baskin-Robbins stores in Salt Lake County becoming the youngest franchisees in Baskin-Robbins history. They owned and operated those stores for about 25 years. After selling their stores in 2006, Randy began working at Harmons Grocery Store where he worked for many years. While at Harmons, Randy made many great friends he talked about often.

Randy was a loving man who made friends everywhere he went. He was an example for all to follow of what it means to truly love God and love his neighbors. Randy was always willing to help anyone in need whether that be family, friend or stranger. Randy looked for opportunities to brighten the day of anyone around him. He loved to make others happy and he was quick with a joke just to see someone smile. His passing has profoundly impacted the many people who knew and loved him.

Randy was preceded in death by his father Ray and we are comforted to know they have had a joyous reunion in Heaven. Randy is survived by his wife Denise; his mother Afton; his children: Matthew (Melissa), Staci (Benson), Nathan (Marci), his grandchildren: Garrett, Kyler, Bennett, Maggie, Jace and Leilla as well as his sister Raelyn (Gerry), his niece Kimi (Jason) and nephew Cameron (Emily).

A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 11th, 2019 at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on April 12th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1540 West 10400 South at 11:00 AM with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 before the services. Graveside services to follow at South Jordan City Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Promise Hospital for their care of Randy.

Sherie Hebdon Obituary

Sharon Kaye Duncan Hebdon

Sharon Kaye Duncan Hebdon, 72, hopped in the truck with her youngest son and she left this life on Tuesday, July 5, 2016.

She was born March 25, 1944 in Pasa Robles, California to William Kenneth and Gwendolyn Whatcott Duncan. She was the oldest of three children. Sherie grew up in the Orem/Provo area and graduated from Orem High School and LDS Seminary in 1962. She worked as an information operator for Mountain Bell Telephone.

Sherie married her junior high sweetheart, Randy I. Hebdon on November 13, 1964 and was later sealed in the Ogden Temple May 1974. After their marriage they moved to California and welcomed their first daughter. Upon moving back to Utah, they added three more children to their family. Sherie also took a job at Hill Air Force Base in data processing. Randy and Sherie made their home in Sunset, Utah where they resided at the time of her death.

Sherie was a very patient, accepting and loving person. She welcomed so many people into her home and all were accepted for who they were. With Randy being a long haul truck driver, Sherie embraced the role of a trucker's wife and with it instilled a love of traveling in her children.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as both Primary and Relief Society President, Primary and Relief Society teacher and a Visiting Teaching Supervisor. Sherie served as PTA President the same time she was pregnant with her youngest son. She was very proud of this fact.

Mom was always available for 3am phone calls with a listening ear, or ready to share new music she had found. She supported her children in every aspect of their lives, going to great lengths to make sure they knew how much she loved and cared for each of them. Sherie loved animals, traveling with her husband and had a great love for music and reading. It had always been her dream to become a librarian.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Randy, her daughters, Shelly Stiffler (Rob) of Saratoga Springs, Utah; Andra (Ryan) Thorne of Clearfield, Utah; one son, Sean Hebdon (Kodi Hendricks) of Sunset, Utah; and one sister, Pat Patterson and her family of Springville, Utah. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Wesley, Braden, Shaylee, RyLeigh, Duncan, Amylee, Kayden, Faith and Kira. She was preceded in death by her son, Ryan I. Hebdon, her brother, Gary Duncan and her parents.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to dear friend, Shauna Hill, and her 'adopted' children Kevin and Cheri Gilbert, Jared Walsh and Jerry Byington.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Sunset LDS 3rd Ward, 338 W. 1800 N., Sunset. Friends and family may call on Sunday at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services.

Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
